1. Students receive a piece of paper with a pattern

2. The pattern is made of letters (instead of lines). These letters form the question

3. Correct answer leads to another puzzle

Example: Students see the formula E = mc2. If they look more carefully, they will see the question: “in which year was the theory of relativity published?”

Answer: 1916. The number 1916 is the code that opens the safe with another puzzle
